Book Review: Crystal Balls and Crystal Bowls

Crystal Balls and Crystal Bowls – Tools for Ancient Scrying and Modern Seership- Ted Andrews

I must readily admit, that I skipped the entire first half of the book entirely as I was only interested in the second half, pertaining to crystal bowls. If you are new to sound healing and the use of crystal healing bowls, there is likely an adequate starting point for you. Andrews provides a decent overview of the chakra system and using sound, specifically the crystal bowls as an alchemical healing agent. His work was ahead of his time and he was extremely knowledgeable on the topic. Having loved his book Sacred Sound, I was excited to get my hands on this one. If you have been playing the bowls for some time or have a decent familiarity of the chakra systems and energetic or sonic healing, you will not find any thing new in this book (Unless you are interested in the crystal ball section, which I cannot speak to.) This is not a bad entry level book, but there are better books out there if you are interested in the science of sonic healing. I enjoyed the techniques outlined and the exercises provided, but I truly did not learn anything new from reading it.
